LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's Kelsey Mitchell, Kristen Peterson and Meghan Warkentin earned All-Golden State Athletic Conference volleyball honors and head coach Aaron Seltzer repeated as GSAC Coach of the Year as the conference announced its yearly awards on Wednesday.

Warkentin, a senior outside hitter from Visalia, earned all-conference honors for the third-straight season. She finished the regular season with 301 kills which ranked her tied for fifth in the conference with 3.17 kills per set. She added 127 digs (1.44/set), 50 blocks (0.53/set), 22 assists and 10 aces.

Outside hitter Kelsey Mitchell wrapped up the regular season with 233 kills (2.33/set) and added 42 blocks and 27 assists. The senior from El Cajon capped an impressive career at Biola by becoming just the 10th player in school history to amass 1,000 kills. She currently has 1,029 kills in four seasons and is only 20 away from moving into seventh on the all-time list. 

Peterson, a senior middle blocker, had the best season in her four-year career at Biola, recording 191 kills (1.99/set) and adding 98 blocks including 14 solo. Her .340 attack percentage was the sixth best in the GSAC as she had 191 kills and just 61 errors in 382 attacks. Peterson's block total ranked sixth in the conference and led the team. In four seasons at Biola, Peterson has recorded 287 blocks--the fourth-best total in school history. 

Head Coach Aaron Seltzer was named the GSAC Coach of the Year for the second-straight season and the third time in his coaching career. Under Seltzer's direction, the Eagles finished second in the GSAC with a 17-3 record and reached their highest-ever regular-season ranking at No. 2 in the NAIA. Biola wrapped up the regular season with a 27-3 record and enters the NAIA National Championships in two weeks as the No. 2 seed.
