Musa Dogonyaro was treasured here at Biola, but he was celebrated even more in his home country of Nigeria. He ran for his country in the 1968 and 1972 Olympic games, representing his people, his school and God with integrity and excellence. His accomplishments are still felt at Biola, where he holds 13 outdoor track and field records, and he scored more goals than anyone else in men's soccer program history. Dogonyaro was a two-time track and fieldAll-American (1970, ’71), and he was the NAIA national champion in the 800m in 1971. Dogonyaro passed away in August 2008 at the age of 63. He becomes the first Biola men's soccer player to join the Biola Athletics Hall of Fame. He is the second representative from track and field, joining Natasha (Miller) Jackson, who entered in 2013.
