19991Heidi Wayment was a standout two-sport student-athlete during her time at Biola in the mid-1970s. She played on Biola's basketball and volleyball teams and earned All-American honors in both sports. Wayment appeared in 89 basketball games over her four years and scored 1,395 points, which is 10th-most all-time. She earned AIAW All-Region honors three times and was an AIAW All-American in 1976-77. She helped Biola to two top-4 national finishes in the AIAW, including second place in 1974-75. She averaged 15.7 points-per-game over her career and is sixth all-time in field goals made with 625. Wayment earned AIAW Volleyball All-American honors in 1977 and also made the NAIA All-Tournament team that same year. She led her team to a SCWIAC Championship in 1975. After her time at Biola, Wayment went on to play professional basketball in Europe (1978-80; 1982-92) and in the Women's Basketball League (1980-81). She was a member of the 1979 Team USA team that won a FIBA World Championship Gold Medal. She played on Team USA from 1979-80, was a member of the USA All-Star team in 1984 and was part of the German national team from 1990-92. Graduate Magna Cum Laude. After she ended career she obtained a PhD in Social Psychology at UCLA in 1992.  She is a professor of Social Psychology, and Associate Dean of College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Northern Arizona University, where she has been teaching and conducting research since 1996.
