19989Amy Weststeyn was a four-year starter for the Biola Volleyball program from 2011 through 2014. She led the Eagles to four consecutive national tournament berths, one national title match and helped Biola amass a 117-27 overall record during her time on the team. She was a four-time NAIA All-American and was named NAIA Player of the Year after her stellar senior season. Weststeyn also made the NAIA’s all-tournament all four years and was twice named the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was an all-conference and all-region player all four years and helped Biola to a GSAC Championship her senior year. In addition to all the athletic awards, Weststeyn was a fantastic student, graduating summa cum laude with her bachelor’s in journalism and integrated media and going on to a successful career at a PR firm in St. Louis. She was a two-time scholar-athlete while at Biola and twice won prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-American honors. After her time at Biola she went on to play volleyball professionally in Austria for nine months before taking up her current position at O’Malley Hansen Communications.
