• All-PacWest selection at DH
• Hit nine doubles and tied for second on the team with eight homeruns
• Named PacWest Player of the Week on March 4
• Hit .317 on the road and led the Eagles in homeruns, doubles, RBI's and total bases in away games

USC
• Played for the Trojans in 2018, hitting .286 in six games

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped at Oak Hills and JSerra Gardena HS, graduating in 2014
• Played in the USA Breakthrough Series
• Received All-League recognition all four years
• Played on the club teams SGV Arsenal, Midland Redskins, and Newark Pilots

PERSONAL
• Born Jan. 11, 1996 to Roosevelt and Solette Bates
• Has one brother, Solomon, and five sisters, Laguioa, Seguioa, BB, Asia, and Kimora
• His brother Solomon also played baseball at USC and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants
• His sister BB was an All-American softball player at UCLA
• Enjoys spending time with his family and friends
• Majoring in kinesiology and hopes to play baseball professionally
