Tsue blasts two home runs, including a grand slam, in 8–0 win

SACRAMENTO, Calif.---The Biola softball team secured the doubleheader sweep against Jessup, finishing game two with an 8–0 mercy-win in five innings. With the win, Biola improved to a 14-game winning streak which is a Biola Softball DII Era Program record.

Biola got on the board in the second inning with a pair of solo home runs. Ariana Banos opened the scoring with a shot to left center, and Kennadie Tsue followed with a homer of her own to give the Eagles an early 2–0 lead.

The Eagles maintained control through the middle innings before breaking the game open in the fifth. Lizzie Byer started the rally with a double, and a series of singles from Alexa Medley Sheard, Jackie Ibarra and Banos helped extend the lead. Tsue then delivered the decisive blow, launching a grand slam to left field to cap a six-run inning and push the advantage to 8–0. This was Tsue's second homer of the game and the first two home runs of her college career.

In the circle, DJ Symons was dominant from start to finish. She pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out nine batters and keeping Jessup off the board.

Biola totaled 13 hits in the game, with Ibarra leading the way with three hits and an RBI. Banos added two hits and two RBIs, while Tsue drove in five runs, highlighted by her grand slam.

With the win, Biola improved to 28–15 on the season and 21–4 in PacWest play. The Eagles play Jessup again tomorrow at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at American River College.
