LA MIRADA --- Biola Athletics is proud to welcome Alexis Soto as the newest Lead Assistant Coach of the Eagles Softball program.

"I'm really excited to add Alexis to our coaching staff," stated head coach Kristin Halte. "I believe both her faith journey and her softball experience will have a profound impact on our student-athletes. She brings a unique perspective, a genuine love for the game, and a passion for investing in young women both on and off the field. I know she will be a tremendous addition to our program."

Soto joins the Eagles after leading Calvary Chapel Schools' varsity softball program to its first CIF Quarterfinal appearance since 2019. In her first season as head coach, she oversaw all aspects of the program, including practice planning, game strategy, player development, and team operations.

Soto also worked with the FR Softball Club as the Player Development Coordinator. She was responsible for developing and implementing customized training programs for pre-high school athletes, conducting player evaluations, and organizing clinics and private instruction. 

Soto brings experience as an NCAA Division I student-athlete. She began her collegiate career at Liberty University before transferring to Grand Canyon University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, Sports and Entertainment Management and competed for the Lopes.

"I am so excited to be a part of the culture here at Biola. It truly is a blessing to work in an environment where we build one another up in the things of the Lord," shared Alexis Soto. "The beautiful game of softball can be used as a platform for Christ, and I am eager to see how the Lord will use this program to further His kingdom."

Soto continued, "My prayer is that every player who comes through this program leaves with a deeper understanding of who Christ is and the confidence to use the gifts He has given them to walk faithfully in His will. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of a community that shares these values."
