LA MIRADA---The Biola men's tennis team delivered a strong performance at the Biola Tennis Center, defeating Westmont College 6–1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles set the tone early by securing the doubles point with 6–2 wins on courts one and three. Alejandro Flores Monteverde and Pol Masafret Hernandez won on court one, while Keyon Gahvarehchi and Mateo Rivas followed with a victory on court three.
Biola carried that momentum into singles, winning five of six courts in convincing fashion.
Flores Monteverde picked up a dominant 6–4, 6–2 win on court two. Masafret Hernandez took down his opponent 6–1, 6–2 on court three. Thiago Canessa added another point with a 6–3, 6–1 win on court four and Gahvarehchi secured a 6–2, 6–1 victory on court five. Rivas finished last on court six, battling through a three-set match.
