Biola Shows Growth Against PLNU

Biola earns three singles wins in tightly contested match

SAN DIEGO, Calif.---The Biola women's tennis team fell 4–3 to Point Loma but continues to show growth as the regular season winds down.

Biola pushed Point Loma to the brink, earning three singles victories from courts two, four and six. Alessia Radu and Yeo Kyung Kim won their courts in straight sets. Radu won 6–2, 6–1 on the second court and Kim won 6–4, 6–3 on the fourth court. Alexis Romano battled through a three-set match on court six. She won the first set 6–4, dropped the second 2–6, and closed it out with a 6–4 win in the third.

On court five, Isabelle Karam fought hard in a three-set contest. After claiming the opening set 6–4, she fell in the next two sets, 4–6, 1–6.

Biola showed improvement from its previous matchup with PLNU, a 5–2 loss in February at the Biola Tennis Center. 

Biola plays next on Tuesday, March 24 at 1 p.m. against Fresno Pacific.
