LA MIRADA---The Biola men's tennis team won 5-2 over Western New Mexico at the Biola Tennis Center.
Alejandro Flores Monteverde and Keyon Gahvarehchi led their team with two wins each. Flores Monteverde recorded a 6-2 doubles win on the first court with partner
Thiago Canessa and
Gahvarehchi won 6-3 on the third court with
Mateo Rivas.
Flores Monteverde also won his first court singles match 6-1, 6-3 and Gahvarehchi won 6-4, 6-3 on the fifth court.
Juan Vallejo and Kian Azadi recorded Biola's final two singles victories. Vallejo won 6-3, 6-3 on the second court and Azadi won 6-4, 3-6 and then 10-8 in the super set.
Both Canessa and Rivas lost their matches in three sets. Canessa fell 6-2, 2-6, 2-6 and Rivas lost 6-2, 3-6, 4-6.
Biola improves 10-1 overall. The Eagles play next on Monday, March 16 against Colorado Mesa.
