Brown, Parrish-Tillman Power Biola in Road Loss

Eagles unable to overcome first-half deficit in 78–65 defeat

HONOLULU, Hawaii. --- The Biola men's basketball team won/lost to the Hawaii Pacific Sharks at the Shark Tank, 65-78.

Cameron Brown led Biola with 18 points, securing two rebounds and four assists. Tyus Parrish-Tillman continued his offensive dominance for the Eagles, scoring 17 points and collecting nine rebounds. The rest of BU combined for 30 points, 22 rebounds, and nine assists.

The Eagles struggled early in the first half, converting only seven of their 26 shots from the floor and going 3-of-11 from three. Brown and Parrish-Tillman combined for 14 of the 22 first-half points. Charlie Gehler chipped in six while Garrison Sherman added two. Biola struggled with turnovers and second-chance defense, heading into halftime down 34-22.

In the second half, the Eagles were much more proficient on the offensive end, shooting 54 percent from the floor. BU outrebounded the Sharks 19-11. Brown and Parrish-Tillman led with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Biola's bench combined for nine points, while Walker Weir, Chris Harris, and Charlie Gehler totaled 13 points. 

The Eagles move to 6-9 overall and 2-7 in conference. They will play Chaminade on Jan. 22 at 9:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. HT)
