Brown, Parrish-Tillman combine for 32 in 81–61 defeat

SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- The Biola men's basketball team faced off against the Point Loma Sea Lions in Golden Gymnasium on Tuesday Night. The Eagles fell short, 61-81.

Cameron Brown and Tyus Parrish-Tillman led the charge for Biola with a combined 32 points and nine rebounds. Chris Harris and Charlie Gehler tacked on 10 points and eight points, respectively, while Garrison Sherman added six off the bench. As a team, BU shot 40 percent from the floor and 28 percent from three.

Biola struggled to find its footing early in the first half, unable to score within the first four minutes of the game. Gehler put BU on the board with a driving layup, followed by a three-point play by Weir. Biola shot 29 percent from the floor in the first half while Point Loma shot nearly 44 percent.

The Eagles were able to turn it around offensively in the second half, shooting 50 percent from the floor. Brown, Harris, and Parrish-Tillman combined for 33 points of BU's 39 second-half points. After three straight scores from Parrish-Tillman and Harris to bring the Eagles to within seven, the Sea Lions would go on an 11-2 run, putting Biola out of reach for good.

The Eagles drop to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

They will host the Westmont Warriors (6-7, 3-4) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Chase Gymnasium.
