SAN JOSE, Calif. --- Bekah Roth is a middle blocker/right side with hopes of making a strong impact on the Biola Volleyball program in 2017. She's committed to Head Coach Aaron Seltzer's team out of Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California.
 
"All of us are so excited to have Bekah join our program," said Seltzer. "We have been watching her develop now for quite some time and continue to see her improve at every turn. Getting deeper in the middle has been our priority for the past few years and we expect to feel her impact right away."
 
Roth helped her high school team to three CIF Central Coast Section championships between 2014-16 and a pair of NorCal championships in 2015 and 2016. In 2015 her team went 31-8 and won the state championship.
 
"She has always played on top level teams both in high school and club and will bring some solid skills with her," said Seltzer. "But beyond her skills Bekah has an amazing personality that fits in so well and exactly the type of girl we want in our program."
 
Roth was on varsity three years at VCHS and will play middle for Biola. She helped the Warriors to an overall record of 85-34 in those three seasons.
 
"Biola just felt like home the second I came onto the campus. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and I felt like I would really enjoy myself here," said Roth.
 
Roth will join the team on campus this fall for its first season of NCAA Division II and PacWest Conference play. Her major is currently undecided.
