LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Tuesday night's basketball doubleheader will be historic as it marks the final regular season Golden State Athletic Conference contests for Biola men's and women's basketball. The Eagles host San Diego Christian at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the first few hundred fans to arrive will receive coupons for FREE Chick-Fil-A courtesy Chick-Fil-A at the La Habra Marketplace.
The men's game is also senior night as it marks the final regular season game for Head Coach
Dr. Dave Holmquist's team. Seniors
Jeff Gonzalez,
Ryan Swain,
Connor Getting and
Dakari Archer will be honored with a short ceremony at the games.
Not only are the games important for their historical significance, but they are also important for current year playoff implications. A win on the women's side should guarantee a trip to this year's NAIA National Championship Tournament, and a win on the men's side could keep the No. 4 Eagles in the running for a share of the GSAC Championship.
Biola beat San Diego Christian in both games of the road doubleheader against the team about a month ago. The women rode a huge night from
Joclyn Kirton to a 67-53 win and the men defeated the Hawks 82-62.
