CLOVIS, Calif.—The Eagles have added an outside hitter to their women's volleyball program who is eager to get on campus and make an impact. Brooke Watts of Buchanan High School is committed to joining Head Coach Aaron Seltzer and Biola on their quest for another GSAC Championship this fall.
 
Watts has seen a great deal of success on the court and she hopes to bring that success to Chase Gym and make her impact on the program.
 
"I love her personality. She is an ultra competitive super athletic kid," said Seltzer. "We are very excited to have her. She is somebody we just could not pass on and had to have. I feel like she is somebody that can contribute right away. She loves Jesus and is a great fit with all the aspects we are looking for in a student-athlete."
 
Watts lettered on varsity for all four years at Buchanan. In that span she earned an all-league first team selection as well as an all-conference selection. She was also recognized by winning a team MVP award for her elite play on the court. Watts plans to bring her skill-set and leadership to contribute to the Eagles.

She averaged nearly four kills-per-set as a senior (329 total) and hit .258 as she led the Bears to a 20-19 record during her senior season in 2015-16. She helped lead the team to two 20-plus victory seasons during her four years there.
 
"I chose Biola because I had heard great things about the program and when I went on my visit the team and coaches made me feel right at home," said Watts. "I am super excited to be part of the Eagle family!"
 
Watts was also a leader in the classroom earning multiple honors for her dedication to academics. She was part of the principal's honor roll, high honor roll, national honors society and inter school council. She was also a member of the California Scholarship Federation.
 
Watts plans to major in kinesiology once she arrives at Biola. She hopes to one day become a physician's assistant or athletic trainer.
