TEMECULA, Calif. --- Head Coach Aaron Seltzer adds some muscle to the outside with the addition of Savannah Hilde to the 2016 Biola Volleyball roster.
 
Hilde joins the Eagles after spending four seasons as a varsity starting outside hitter for the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. She was key in helping turn around the program there as she took the team from 10-20 during her freshman season to 17-13 during her senior year.
 
"Savannah was the first girl in this class to commit," said Head Coach Aaron Seltzer. "We have been watching her play since she was 15 years old. We've watched her grow into a phenomenal player and person."
 
Seltzer and his staff began following Hilde when she was a sophomore and she committed to the school when she was a junior at Murrieta Valley.
 
She earned the coaches award in 2012 and the team's best offensive player award during her junior and senior seasons. She also earned two all-league awards and was a scholar-athlete from 2013-15.
 
"There's been a lot of excitement surrounding her and we are really happy to have her in the program," said Seltzer. "We've been waiting a long time for her."
 
Hilde will enter the program in fall of 2016 and plans to major in communication disorders. She hopes to enter a career as a speech language pathologist following her graduation from BU.
 
When she's not on the volleyball court Hilde enjoys going to the beach, shopping and being with her friends.


"I chose Biola because everyone is so nice," said Hilde. "When I stepped onto the campus I knew I belonged here."
