DAYTON, Ohio --- Lucas Weaver played high school soccer in three different states, but he'll settle in California for his college ball as he commits to join Head Coach Todd Elkins' squad.
 
"Lucas played for Carroll High School, a school with multiple state championships," said Elkins. "He is very comfortable moving the ball from side to side, looking for the best moments to get the ball into the attack. Simple and effective, he can deal well in tight spaces."
 
Weaver's high school soccer career began when he played on Banner High School's varsity team in Virginia. He then played a year at Legend High School in Banner, Colo. Before ultimately settling for his final two varsity seasons at Carroll High School in Ohio.
 
The talented center midfielder led the Patriots to an undefeated home record in 2014-15, ultimately finishing with a 14-2-6 overall mark. Carroll was 9-4-4 in 2013-14, making their overall record 23-6-10 when Weaver was on the team.
 
"I chose Biola because it was an excellent school with an excellent journalism program, and because I wanted to get out of Ohio," said Weaver.
 
He begins school and soccer in fall of 2015 and plans to major in journalism with a goal of a career in journalism.
