LA MIRADA, Calif. --- All of Biola Softball's All-GSAC recipients were honored with All-West Region recognition by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association over the weekend.
 
Reba DePriest led the way as the only pitcher on the All-West Region first team. Bria Madrid and Brooke Madrid each earned at-large recognition on the All-West Region second team.
 
This is all three players' second time earning this all-region honor. DePriest and Brooke Madrid each earned all-region recognition last season and Bria Madrid was Biola's lone all-region player in 2013.
 
All three players now have a chance to earn NFCA/NAIA All-American honors. The last Biola NFCA/NAIA All-Americans came in 2011, when Jillian Storm and CeCe Luster both made the All-American second team.
 
The All-West Region teams are comprised of players from the Golden State Athletic Conference, Cascade Collegiate Conference and the California Pacific Conference.
 
The GSAC and CCC each garnered 15 honorees across the two teams of 16 players, with the Cal-Pac only having two players honored. The Concordia schools from the GSAC and the CCC, Concordia (CA) and Concordia (OR), had multiple representatives on both the first and second team, combining for 11 of the 32 honors.
 
The NFCA/NAIA All-American teams are announced in June.
