Kaitlin Wuaid

Men's Cross Country

Ace Of Quaid

Kaitlin Quaid has been a prospect for four years, now she commits to run cross country and track at Biola.

REDLANDS, Calif. --- Kaitlin Quaid is a four-year varsity athlete at Redlands High School, competing all four years in cross country and track and field for the Terriers. That experience has her primed for a jump to collegiate athletics as she commits to Biola.

"We've had Kaitlin as a target since before her first semester even started, and we are excited to add her to the mix of an awesome women's cross country and track and field group," said Assistant Coach Collin Christensen. "Her earnestness in academics and athletics is exactly what we are looking for in student-athletes."

Quaid led the Terriers to CIF qualifications in each of her four high school seasons and helped them win a cross country league championship in 2011. They added two track and field league championships in her time there (2013, 14) and made the CIF cross country finals in 2013.

In addition to the success in the athletic arena Quaid managed to maintain scholar-athlete status all four years at Redlands.

"I'm so excited to have Kaitlin on the team," said Lyndee Dawson. "Her positivity and work ethic is exactly what I look for in a teammate. I am looking forward to a successful cross country season with her."

Quaid will enter Biola in the fall of 2015 and plans to study kinesiology. She hopes to become a physical therapist after graduation and is a vegetarian.

She will run cross country at Biola and currently runs the 800m and 1,600m.
