Finishing Out In Fullerton

Biola had a trio of finishers represent the team at Cal State Fullerton on Friday night.

FULLERTON, Calif. — For the first time this season, Biola Cross Country had the opportunity to run in a night race. On the eve of the PacWest Cross Country championships, some members of the team made the trip to Cal State Fullerton to run at the annual John Elders Invitational, hosted by the Titans. 

Brayden Lunetta was the highest overall finisher among the Biola trio on Friday night. He placed 26th in the individual men's team results with an 8k time of 26:16.3. That is his second-best time of the 2025 season.

Jake Sorani also competed in the men's 8k. The fourth-year Eagle placed 52nd overall with a 27:23.1. It was his first competition in three weeks.

For the women's side, Miranda Zakhar led the charge as the only finisher for BU. She carded a 24:48.1 to finish 32nd, gaining one spot in the final split. The final time was her best 6k time of the season.
