Seeberger Comes Across The Country To Run Cross Country

Tim Seeberger leaves New York to compete for Biola in sunny Southern California.

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. --- Tim Seeberger is coming a long way to run at Biola and he's doing it for all the right reasons, impressing the coaching staff and his future teammates with his high character and motives.

"Tim is a young man who is coming to Biola for the right reasons," said Assistant Coach Collin Christensen. "His desire to be a part of the spiritual and academic synergy on campus will make his time here very fulfilling."

Seeberger committed to join the Eagles' cross country and track & field program after spending four varsity years at St. John the Baptist High School.

His four years were very successful, including two all-league honors in cross country and earning team MVP his senior year. He runs the 800m, 1,600m and 3,200m on the track.

Seeberger's character was evident during his time as a Cougar, earning the Jon C. Fred Memorial award for character, leadership and scholarship in running. He also graduates with magna cum laude honors and is a part of the National, English and French Honor Societies.

"We could not be more excited to have Tim on the team," said Timmy Wilson. "He will be a huge asset to the team's performance, but more importantly he has great character and will bring a positive attitude to the team atmosphere."

In high school Seeberger led his team to league runner-up finishes in cross country and indoor track during his senior season and was a part of the national-qualifying 4x800m relay team that same year.

He has a history of collegiate athletics in his family as his mother ran track at St. John's University.

He begins at Biola in the fall of 2015 and will major in business administration with a concentration in international business. He hopes to travel the world working for a firm and then return to Biola for his MBA.

"The presence of Christ [at Biola] is awesome, the people are friendly, the campus is beautiful and it's always been a dream of mine to attend a college in California," said Seeberger.
