Wednesday - Travel DayÂ
Started our day off by waking up bright and early when most other students are heading to bed at 3 a.m. The men's team opted for running before our flights, putting in 7 miles to get the legs ready for a long day on a couple planes. None of were used to the cold or the dark for the run, but we made the best of it knowing what was coming next. We cleaned up real quick and put on our fanciest outfits and met with the girl's team and the coaches to head for John Wayne Airport.Â
Â
Once we got to the airport, we grabbed some food and boarded our plane to Dallas, Texas. The ride there was about 3Â hours but once we touched down to Texas, we got even more food! We had to hurry to catch our flight but the 12 bagels I got was well worth the trouble. It was another 2 hours to North Carolina, but we were all excited to finally get there. It would have been a smooth traveling day, but
Christian Perez's luggage didn't come until about an hour after everyone else got theirs because it ended up on a different plane.Â
Â
We finally got to the hotel to find out we were staying in a castle. The girls chose beauty sleep over the run so they had to run out in the rain while we got to dine in at Ruby Tuesday's and munch hard on some #crutons. We brought the girls back their food when we finished eating and then had the rest of the night to ourselves.Â
Â
It was a fun and busy day and we are all stoked to get to see the course tomorrow.Â
