• Competed in all seven meets during the season
• Helped Biola win its first-ever PacWest Championship
• Earned NCCAA All-American honors with a 13th-place finish at the national meet (26:52)
• Finished 29th at the conference championship meet (26:17)
• Ran his season-best at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (25:48)

2017
• Competed at five meets on the season
• Ran a season-best 26:38 at the Biola Invitational, placing 31st

2016
• Competed at six meets during his second year at Biola
• Ran his season-best 25:41 at the Biola Invitational
• Was a top-7 finisher for the Eagles at both the GSAC Championship meet (20th) and the NAIA National Championship Meet (169th)

2015
• Competed at six meets during his first season at Biola
• Finished third on the team and 15th overall at the GSAC Championship meet (26:50)
• Ran a 27:20 to finish 243rd overall at the NAIA National Championship meet
• Set his season-best 8k time at the Santa Clara Bronco Invite (25:44)

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Norwalk HS in Norwalk, Calif., graduating in 2015
• Led his team to three league championships
• Part of the team that set the Norwalk HS team record (1:18:13)
• Three-time all-league in cross country
• 2014 individual league champion and league most valuable runner
• Captained his team in 2013 and 2014
• Two-time scholar-athlete
• Earned Norwalk HS most valuable runner twice, most inspirational and rookie of the year
• Qualified for CIF all four seasons
• Also played soccer and ran track for the Lancers

• Born Feb. 21, 1997 to Martin and Susana Perez
• Majoring in kinesiology, with hopes of a careerin sports medicine
• Has three older siblings (Eduardo, Susan and Martin)
• His brother, Eduardo, ran cross country and track collegiately
• Favorite Bible Verse: 2 Chronicles 15:7
• Enjoys cycling, fishing and camping
• Why I Chose Biola: "I felt God guided me to Biola, and the moment I visited the campus I was fond of the Christ-centered environment."
