Box Score PHOENIX, Ariz. --- For the fourth time in its five Golden State Athletic Conference matches, No. 5 Biola held its opponent without a single set win. The Eagles defeated Arizona Christian, 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-13), in a stormy early afternoon in Phoenix.

Biola's middle blockers stole the show on Saturday, putting forth fantastic efforts as Biola cruised to its fourth conference win of the season.
Lauren Hoenecke and
Amy Weststeyn matched each other's kill output with a match-high 12.

Hoenecke continues to shine this season as she posts her third consecutive match with a hitting percentage above .385. This afternoon she broke the 100-kill mark for the first time in her three years with the Eagles.
Weststeyn looked every bit a three-time NAIA All-American this afternoon, posting 12 kills in 25 swings (.400) and participating in four blocks in the quick three-set match.

The Eagles were dominant at the net all day long, posting 11 blocks and hitting into just two from the Firestorm.

The second set was an especially dominant affair for Biola, as its hitters logged 16 kills and hit just one errant attack, equating to a .441 attack percentage. The Eagles hit .413 as a time, registering just seven attack errors in the entire match. ACU had no such luck. The Firestorm hit just .157 as a team with 15 attack errors, more than half the number of their kills.

Allison Spencer, playing just under three miles from her high school, and
Ashton Arbuthnot played very well as the floor captains and setters for the Eagles. The duo combined to post 37 assists and limited mistakes, resulting in zero assist errors.

Jaci Schork even got in on the attack today, earning just her second and third kills of the season by finding the hardwood with ease in her two attack attempts.

It was a fantastic appearance for Biola as they finish off road competition before heading back for two home matches next week. The No. 5 Eagles improved to 14-4 (4-1 GSAC) and pushed the Firestorm to 7-6 (2-4 GSAC).
