LA MIRADA, Calif. --- While one is good, two is better.
Reba DePriest clearly knows that, as she gets named the Golden State Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive seven-day span.
DePriest was an absolute right-handed flamethrowing monster last week, allowing just six hits over her 18.1 innings of work. She earned two wins, one save and did not allow any runs to cross the plate.
She pulled herself up to 162 strikeouts on the season as she fanned 25 and walked just one during her time in the circle. Her handiwork helped her improve to 14-0 as Biola improved to 29-7 after their 3-1 week.
DePriest becomes the first GSAC pitcher this season to repeat as the Pitcher of the Week winner. She has earned the crown in two of the four weeks it has been up for grabs.
She and her teammates get back in action tomorrow afternoon for a doubleheader at the University of Antelope Valley.
