­LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For the first time this season Biola has a Golden State Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. Reba DePriest gets the nod after picking up a win and nine strikeouts in six innings of work in Biola's 2-0 effort last week.
 
The second contest of the Eagles' doubleheader against Arizona Christian is where DePriest was especially effective. She threw four innings as she combined with CeCe Luster to no-hit the Firestorm.

Over the course of her four innings of work and eventual win, the junior righty got eight strikeouts to up her season total to 137. She is currently sixth in the NAIA in total strikeouts and first in the GSAC.
 
She also leads the conference in ERA, opponent's batting average, appearances, games finished, hits allowed and runs allowed. Her 137 strikeouts puts her just 40 away from setting a new Biola single-season record.
 
DePriest and the Eagles are back in action tomorrow afternoon with a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader against San Diego Christian at Freedom Field.
