Fullerton, Calif. --- Mishael Poti becomes the third college athlete in her family, and the second to continue their career at Biola. One of her brothers played football at the University of Hawai'I, and the other played baseball at Biola. Poti signed with Biola and will start her career for the Eagles during the 2016 season.
 
She is another infield signee for the Eagles, and she brings a solid bat as well as the ability to play the corner-infield well.
 
"Missy is one of the best pickups Biola Softball has been blessed with in years," said Head Coach Lorie Coleman. "She is an all-around Biola fit with athletic ability, character and a genuine heart for Jesus."
 
An experienced player in the area, the Fullerton raised player spent each year on varsity and won Scholar-Athlete recognition each year. In 2014 she lead her team to the league championship and was voted the offensive player of the year.
 
"I basically grew up there when my older siblings attended Biola. I was always there at the baseball games and attend various functions with my family," said Poti. "I love the Christian environment, coaches, and the softball girls made me feel welcomed and at home. But must of all, it is to continue my spiritual growth, in hopes of making an impact for Jesus on the softball field and when I graduate."
 
After Poti wraps up her final year of playing for the Fullerton Union High School Indians, she will begin attending Biola in the fall of 2015 as a liberal arts major, with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher.
