LA MIRADA, Calif. --- It was a historic night on the pitch when Pacific Union came to Al Barbour Field on Sept. 11. Biola netted 15 goals against the Pioneers, breaking the 34 year-old program record of 14.
 
The Eagles were led by a 15-point performance from sophomore midfielder Sava Pantic. Pantic tied the school record with six goals and added three assists to complete a near-perfect night.
 
What made Pantic's six-goal performance most impressive is that he did not score his first goal of the game until the 32^nd minute. He scored his first goal of the game, second of the season, on a breakaway from an assist by Stephen Tanquary.
 
In addition to Pantic, six other players got in on the scoring for Biola, leading to the 15 goals off of 44 shots. The goal tally in this game was so high that it took the Eagles nine games to score another 15 goals.
 
In addition to the huge offensive output, the Eagles were able to use strict defense and strong goalkeeping to keep Pacific Union off the scoreboard, using two freshman goalies to combine for the shutout.
 
After this game Biola went on a streak of five games without a loss, marking a true turning point in the season. The defensive unit was what kept the team successful for the remainder of the season, only allowing two goals during the five game streak.
 
The win over Pacific Union brought the Eagles to 2-2 on the year, and the team never again fell under .500. They closed out the season 11-7-1 after advancing to the Golden State Athletic Conference semifinals. The loss dropped Pacific Union to 0-4-0, and they would go on to finish 0-13-0.
