Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola scored 15 runs on 23 hits en route to a doubleheader sweep of Dakota Wesleyan University (S.D.) in a non-conference series by scores of 10-2 and 5-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Freedom Field.

The Eagles run their win-streak to seven games and improve to 11-12 on the year while the Tigers drop to 0-4.

Celina Thornton and Vanessa Coleman each went 4-for-5 in the doubleheader with a pair of RBIs with Coleman scoring four runs and hitting a pair of doubles. Heather Hall added four hits in seven at-bats.

Sarah Enriquez continued to be the Eagles' lone option on the mound, pitching both games, scattering nine hits over 12 innings while striking out six. She allowed three runs--two in the first inning of game one and one in the final inning of game two. At one point, she retired 14-straight batters.

Dakota Wesleyan got on the board first with a two-run double off the bat of Meghan Bovee to put the Tigers up 2-0 early. However, that would be the final hit of the game Dakota Wesleyan would get the rest of the way.

Biola picked up its first run in the second inning, scoring on an error, but leaving the bases loaded. In the third, the Eagles would load the bases again, but could not get a run across.

Things finally came together in the fourth as Biola sent 10 batters to the plate and scored six runs. Mackenzie Magro led off with a single and was moved to second on a sacrifice by Thornton. An infield single by Brooke Madrid put runners on the corners and a walk to Chelsea Limm loaded the bases.

Heather Hall tied the game with a single through the left side to score Magro and Sam Roberts drew a bases loaded walk to drive home another run. Coleman then broke open the game with a two-run double to bring home two more. One out later, pinch-hitter Bria Madrid singled to center to drive home two more and make it 7-2.

After a 1-2-3 inning, Biola closed out the game with three runs. Thornton opened with a single followed by an infield single by Brooke Madrid. After a walk to Limm loaded the bases, Hall drove home a run with an RBI groundout and a single and an error allowed two more runs to score to give Biola the mercy-rule win.

Biola opened the scoring in the second inning of the second game. Coleman led off with a double to left followed by a single to put runners on second and third. Two batters later, Iliana Morales got the Eagles on the board with an RBI-ground out.

In the fourth, the Eagles added two more runs as Coleman again opened the inning with a single. She moved to second on a sacrifice and to third on a two-out single by Morales. Morales stole second and Thornton followed with a single to bring home Coleman and an error allowed Morales to come around as well and make it 3-0.

Biola added two more runs in the fifth on an RBI-single by Thornton and a DWU error to go up 5-0.

The Tigers would get a rerun in the seventh, but the Eagles ended the game on a line-out to Spadt which she turned into a double play with a snap throw to first. It was the third double-play by the Eagles in the game and fourth between the two teams in game two.

Enriquez won both games to move to 7-3.

Biola returns to action on Friday, hosting La Sierra University in a non-conference doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. on Freedom Field.
