Enriquez Continues to Shine as Biola Takes Two in Tucson

Biola celebrates is it comes off the field on Saturday
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TUCSON, Ariz. --- Biola sophomore pitcher Sarah Enriquez continued her dominance in Arizona, pitching nearly ever inning in the desert, wrapping up the trip with a shutout as the Eagles went 5-0 with a 6-0 win over Aquinas College (Mich) after beating Siena Heights (Mich.) 7-3 earlier in the day.

Biola improves to 9-12 with the five victories in Tucson. The wins came in large part to the pitching of Enriquez. Enrquez struck out 12 over seven innings in the first game, allowing three runs. Bria Madrid got Biola going with a two-out, two-run single to tie the game early and finished going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Enriquez then struck out seven to earn the shutout as the Eagles wrapped up the tournament with a 6-0 win.

Biola had been scheduled to play a third game against the University of Great Falls (Mont.), but due to travel issues, UGF was unable to get to the tournament until Sunday.

The Eagles return to La Mirada to host Dakota Wesleyan University on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. (Box scores for the tournament games will be available on Monday.)
