LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Amy Weststeyn was awarded Golden State Athletic Conference volleyball player of the week for games played Oct. 28 – Nov. 3.
 
The junior middle blocker picked up 26 kills and seven total blocks in the No. 3 Eagles two conference wins on the week. She is Biola's third consecutive volleyball player of the week nod, following Tara Rallis and Joclyn Kirton.
 
Weststeyn's seven total blocks on the week helped her move past Tavea Hampton into the top five of BU's all-time career total block leaders. She also moved into the top 15 in solo blocks.
 
This is Weststeyn's second career conference player of the week nod, she won the award last season in late October.
 
She and the Eagles compete in Arizona later today, looking to extend their four game winning streak with a win over Arizona Christian.
