LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The same week he assisted the game-tying goal in a match that sent the Eagles to their second conference tournament championship in three years,
Kevin Kiser is tagged Golden State Athletic Conference defensive player of the week.
Â
The senior defender out of Costa Mesa, Calif. earned his first career conference playe of the week honor after leading Biola to their sixth consecutive win and anchoring a defense that has allowed just one goal in that six-game span.
Â
He played all 90 minutes in this week's conference semifinal match, and solidified his role as the heart of the defensive back line. He has played 90-plus minutes in 16 of Biola's 18 matches this season, and set the tone for the squad that has the fewest number of goals allowed in the GSAC this season.
Â
He was recently named to the All-GSAC squad for the second straight season, and can now add GSAC player of the week for games played Nov. 4-10 to his impressive career resume.
Â
Kiser and the Eagles return to the pitch Saturday to showdown with Concordia on their field, for the GSAC tournament championship.
