LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola sophomore CeCe Luster and freshman Brooke Madrid have been named to the 2012 All-Golden State Athletic Conference team as voted on by the conference coaches and announced on Thursday.

Luster, a sophomore from Lake Elsinore, was honored for the second-straight season, following up an impressive freshman campaign with a solid sophomore year. She finished third in the conference with a .434 batting average, led the GSAC with 17 doubles and finished fourth with 49 RBIs and with 10 home runs.

During the season, Luster had 15 multi-hit games including going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run in a victory over Hope International Univresity in mid-March. She also reached base in each of the final 17 games and finished with a .419 batting average in conference play. Luster also drove in at least two runs in 15 games and accounted for 78 of Biola's 180 runs on the season--nearly 45%.

Luster is already among one of the best offensive players in program history. She is tied for second in career home runs with 19 and has already knocked in 115 runs over two seasons.

Madrid had a solid freshman campaign, posting a .324 batting average with 13 RBIs, 24 runs scored and 44 hits on the season. She got off to a slow start, not recording her first hit until the fifth game of the season. However, her first collegiate hit would be a double as she went 5-for-9 over the next three games and was consistent the rest of the year.

Madrid also had 14 multi-hit games and scored a run in 23 in the 43 games she played. She also struck out just 16 times in 136 at bats and led in the team in sacrifices (11), was second on the team in runs scored (24) and was third in hits (44) and batting average (.324).

Biola wrapped up the 2012 campaign with a record of 15-29, finishing fifth in the GSAC with a 1-15 record.
