LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Natalie Parker went 3-for-4 including a two-run home run as Biola defeated Dakota Wesleyan University in a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at Freedom Field.

The Eagles snap a losing streak and improve to 10-14 on the season while the Tigers fall to 3-12-1.

Biola opened the first game with two quick runs in the first inning. With two outs and a runner at first, Parker collected her first of three hits on the day with a single to put two on. After a walk to Leslie Larson loaded the bases, Vanessa Coleman drove home two with a single to right to make it a 2-0 game.

The Eagles would add another run in the fifth, benefitting from a DWU error to extend the lead to 3-0.

Meanwhile, Sarah Enriquez allowed a total of 12 hits with batters reaching in each inning for the Tigers. However, she worked out of each jam until the seventh inning. Two doubles would drive home a pair of runs and put the tying run on base with two out. However, Enriquez coaxed a groundout to end the game.

She picked up the win to improve to 6-5 on the season.

In the second game, an early error opened the door for the Tigers, who broke a scoreless tie with an unearned run in the top of the third inning. Biola got the run back and one extra in the bottom of the fourth inning as Parker drilled a two-run shot to center to make it a 2-1 game.

The Eagles would add a run in the fifth as CeCe Luster drove home a run with a double to left to make it 3-1.

CeCe Luster would clamp down after a rough third inning, allowing just two walks the rest of the way as she held on for the win. Luster gave up just one unearned run on four hits while striking out five.

Biola returns to action on Thursday, returning to GSAC play with a doubleheader against Hope International University beginning at 2:00 p.m.
