Charrise Reece
Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Charrise Reece had a senior night to remember, scoring a career-high 27 points on 9-of-10 shooting while Adijat Adams had her third-straight double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Biola wrapped up the regular season with a 73-58 win over The Master's College on Saturday night.

The Eagles close out the regular season with six-straight wins to record their fourth-straight 20-win season with an overall mark of 20-9. Biola also places fourth in the GSAC at 11-7 and opens the conference tournament on Wednesday, hosting San Diego Christian College at 7:30 p.m. The Mustangs fall to 12-18 and at 5-13 in the conference, clinch the No. 8 seed in the conference tournament.

Reece was nearly unstoppable in her 37 minutes on Saturday, hitting 9-of-10 from the field, 8-of-10 from the free throw line, draining her only three-point attempt and adding five rebounds, three steals and three assists.

Adams continued her hot streak with yet another double-double, scoring 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting and adding 10 rebounds and two blocked shots. She helped Biola's inside domination as the Eagles out-rebounded The Master's 42-32 and out-scored the Mustangs 44-18 in the paint.

The game opened with the two teams hanging close with a jumper by Ella Joines giving the Mustangs a 14-13 lead with 9:10 to go in the half. Biola started to pull away after that, taking the lead on a second-chance bucket by Reece which started a 18-5 run over the next seven minutes. Reece capped off the run with her lone three-pointer, putting Biola up 31-19 with 1:54 to go. The Eagles would head to the half with a 35-22 lead with Reece accounting for 16 of those points.

In the second half, Biola got a quick bucket from Adams to go up 15. However, The Master's slowly closed the gap and closed to within eight at 43-35 on a pair of free throws by Lindsey Levanen with 15:46 to go in the period.

The Eagles would stretch the lead right back up to double-figures on a three-pointer by Becca DeVere and up to 14 two minutes later on a deep three by Lauren Gustafson. While The Master's would close the gap to 11 on a number of occasions down the stretch, Biola responded each time and sealed the victory with solid free throw shooting down the stretch.

Gustafson finished her final regular season home game at Biola with eight points and a game-high four steals while fellow senior Emily Drews added four points, five rebounds and two assists.

Kimmy Iverson scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Mustangs with Levanen and Rivera each scoring 12 points.

Biola will have a hard time not earning consideration for an at-large berth in this year's NAIA National Championship tournament. The Eagles closed out the season with an 8-1 record including six-straight wins and one over Top 15 Azusa Pacific. Biola also has lost just two games to teams not ranked in the top 25, both early in the season.

However, before focusing on the national tournament, the Eagles need a solid showing in the GSAC Tournament which begins on Wednesday. The Eagles earned the No. 4 seed and face No. 5 San Diego Christian. The other games feature #8 The Masters at #1 Westmont, #7 Fresno Pacific at #2 Azusa Pacific, and #6 Point Loma Nazarene at #3 Vanguard. All four games tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
