REDDING, Calif. --- Biola picked up its first win of the 2012 season on Friday, defeating Northwest Christian University 4-3 in the middle game of three at the Simpson University Tournament in Redding. The Eagles opened the day with a tough 1-0 loss to No. 23 Corban University and fell 6-1 to Eastern Oregon University in the nightcap.

Biola (1-4) received a solid start from sophomore CeCe Luster and received a pair of big RBIs from Leslie Larson to pull out the victory. The Eagles'' Sarah Enriquez was solid in the first game of the day, striking out 13, but allowed a two-out, RBI-single in the top of the seventh to account of the game's only run. Biola would close out the day with a tough 6-1 loss.
