Box Score CARSON, Calif. --- Biola's defense was on display, but the offense could not keep up as the Eagles suffered a 40-32 loss at NCAA Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills on Thursday night at the Toro Dome in Carson.
The Eagles drop to 2-3 on the season while the game was counted as an exhibition for Cal State Dominguez Hills.
It was a tough shooting night all around as Biola managed to shoot just 24.1 percent, hitting 13 of 54 on the night. Meanwhile, the Toros had an equally hard night, hitting 24.6 percent by connecting on just 16 of 65 field goal attempts.

But Biola rallied with a bucket by Elias and two from Vaccher to pull within two at 17-15 at the break.
The run continued to start the second half with Amy Freet hitting a jumper to tie the score at 17-17. However, the Toros answered back with five-straight points to go back up 22-17. However, a second-chance outback by Jamie Robinson with 5:07 left made it a 36-30 game.
Vaccher answered back with an easy layup on a very well-run play to cut it back to four, but that would be the final points for Biola as Cal State Dominguez Hills pulled away late for the win.
