LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Freshman goalkeeper Joshua Crichton has been named the GSAC Defensive Player of the Week after a pair of strong outings to lead Biola to a perfect 2-0 record in a pair of conference matches last week.

Crichton, a freshman from Mission Viejo, made six saves to finish the week with a perfect record in two big matckes last week. On Saturday, he allowed a goal but made four saves--all in the second half--to allow Biola time to score two goals in the final four minutes fo rhte 2-1 win over San Diego Christian.

Crichton followed that up with a pair of saves in a 4-1 win over Vanguard University in a battle for second place in the conference standings.

Overall, Crichton is 8-4-1 on the season with a 1.23 goals against average.

Biola returns to the pitch on Tuesday, traveling to Fullerton to take on Hope International University in a GSAC match at Cal State Fullerton at 3:00 p.m.
