Biola worked back into the set with an 8-1 run aided by four Sea Lion errors and a pair of aces to go up 19-17. But the Sea Lions scored four straight points to go back up by two. After an even start to the second set, Biola slowly pulled away with an extended 14-5 run to take a commanding 19-11 lead. From there, the match belonged to the Eagles, who jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the third set and never turned back. Biola commimtted just two errors in the set and allowed PLNU back-to-back points just twice.
The Sea Lions made one final push in the fourth set, jumping out to a 7-4 lead in the early going.
