• Hit a homerun and two doubles in a 10-6 win over Hawaii Hilo on February 28

2019
• Sat out the season as a medical redshirt

2018
• Second Team All-PacWest and First Team NCCAA All-West Region
• Hit .294 in 55 games at third base for Biola
• Top-five on the team in all major offensive categories
• One of four Eagles with 22 or more extra-base hits
• Had 12 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games
• Tied program record with six RBI's against Hawaii Hilo on March 3 
• Reached safely in 22-straight games to end the season

UTAH
• Part of a Utes team that won the Pac-12 regular season championship in 2016

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Centennial HS in Las Vegas, Nev., graduating in 2015
• Hit .437 his senior season with 11 home runs and 51 RBI's
• His 51 RBI's led the state of Nev. in 2015 and earned him first team all-state recognition
• Was part of a state runnerup team with the Bulldogs in 2014
• Recognized as an Academic All-State recipient as a senior
• Also played basketball at Centennial
 
PERSONAL
• Born Dec. 11, 1996 to Ron and Lynne Portaro 
• Has four older siblings (Maria, Alana, Leah and Christian)
• Majoring in finance with the intention of becoming a financial assistant or a professional baseball player
• He enjoys playing piano, ping pong and zombie video games
• Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 23
• Why I Chose Biola: "I chose Biola because the baseball team has a great group of guys who are easy to get along with. Biola has great coaches who understand your life outside of baseball. And most of all, Biola a university centered around faith in Jesus Christ."
