2018
• Appeared in 10 meets during his first season at BU
• Set all three of his season-bests (HJ, LJ, TJ) at the season-opening Biola vs. Westmont dual
• Competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump at the PacWest Championships
• Recorded a 1.65m high jump to place 10th at the conference meet
• Earned Academic All-PacWest honors

HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped four varsity seasons at Verrado HS, graduating in 2017
• Fifth all-time in high jump at his high school (6')
• Helped his team to three district championships and the school's first regional championship
• Qualified for the state meet in the high jump
• Five-time AP Scholar, 2017 Foreign Language Student of the Year
• Ranked sixth in his class with a 4.87 weighted GPA
• Member of National Honors Society
• Also played football and basketball for the Vipers

PERSONAL
• Born Oct. 12, 1998 to Jeanette and Derek Wahlstrom
• Majoring in engineering physics, with hopes of a career as an engineer
• Has two siblings (Alyssa and Shaun)
• His father, Derek, played football and golf at Friends University and his uncle, David, played basketball at Chapman
• He enjoys classic movies and many types of music
• Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 22:37-40
• Why I Chose Biola: “There are many reasons I chose Biola. The honors college and Biola's mission really stuck out to me as unique. Visiting the campus and meeting the staff made it apparent that Biola was the college for me."
