· Third in the NAIA in defensive rebounding (7.8) and seventh in total rebounds-per-game (10.2)
· Eighth in the NAIA in total blocks (59) and total rebounds (317)
· Led the GSAC in blocks-per-game, second in rebounds-per-game and fifth in field-goal percentage (.535)
· Set a GSAC single-game high for defensive rebounds with 15 against Fisk on Nov. 24
· Appeared in, and started, all 31 games for Biola
· Averaged 32.5 minutes-per-game and 13.0 point-per-game
· Posted 13 double-doubles; led the team in scoring 10 times and rebounding 26 times
· Awarded the Cliff Hamlow Champions of Character honor by the GSAC

2013-14
· Fourth in NAIA in total blocks (66)
· First, second and seventh in GSAC in blocks, rebounds and field goal percentage, respectively
· GSAC single game-high seven blocks in Dec. 3 win over La Sierra 
· GSAC single game-high 21 rebounds in Feb. 1 win over Concordia
· Averaged 10.8 PPG and 34.2 MPG in the post

2012-13
• Appeared in 31 games for the Eagles, averaging starting 29 of them
• Averaged 30.1 MPG, while scoring 11.9 PPG, 6.9 RPG and shooting .542 from the field
• Led the team in scoring on five occasions and in rebounding on eleven occasions
 
HIGH SCHOOL
• Prepped two varsity seasons at Woodcreek HS in Roseville, Calif., graduating in 2010
• Led the Timberwolves to conference and section championship titles
• Averaged 16PPG, 9 RPG and 3 BPG during the 2009-2010 season
• Also played tennis for the Timberwolves
 
PERSONAL
• Born Feb. 7, 1992 to Kevin and Wendy Kurtz
• Has a younger brother (Andrew)
• His father Kevin played collegiate basketball at Bethany and San Jose Bible
• He enjoys being a part of Adventure Club, going to the beach, playing sports, and hanging out with friends
• Majoring in business with an emphasis in marketing/management, with the goal of becoming a manager of sporting apparel company
• Favorite Bible Verse: Philippians 4:6-7
