Biography

2009: Capped a stellar senior season by earning Third-Team NAIA All-American and All-GSAC honors…appeared in 32 of Biola’s 34 matches, playing in 118 sets…ranked second on the team with 285 kills (2.42/set) and posted an impressive .333 attack percentage (285-64-664)… recorded 92 blocks including six solo, averaging 0.78 per set…also added 51 digs and 10 assists…named ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Third-Team Academic All-American after posting a 4.00 cumulative GPA in Mathematics and was one of just two NAIA players on the All-America teams…earned First-Team Academic All-District VIII honors for the third-straight season…recorded 10 or more kills in 13 matches, averaging 8.9 per match…posted a career-high 18 kills in a four-set win over Westmont (9/29/09)…recorded 10 kills with no errors in 17 swings for a .588 attack percentage in an NAIA Tournament Pool Play match against Shawnee State OH (12/2/09)…posted an attack percentage of .500 or better in eight matches.

2008: Appeared in 35 matches making 13 starts as a junior… ranked fifth on the team with 198 kills (1.80/game) and added 81 blocks (0.74/game)…posted a team-best .375 attack percentage (198-47-403)…also added 37 digs and 11 assists…repeated as a First-Team section to the CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII team, maintaining her 4.00 GPA…also named a GSAC and NAIA Scholar-Athlete…had two matches recording 11 kills on just one error: recording 11 kills on one error in 17 attacks vs Bellevue NE (8/29/08) and posting 11 kills on one error in 19 attacks vs. Madonna MI at the NAIA Tournament…posted a .500 or better attack percentage in 15 matches.

2007: Proved to be a force in the middle for the Eagles, playing in all 40 matches as a sophomore while making 24 starts…led the team and was third in the GSAC with a .377 attack percentage, recording 250 kills (1.94/game)…added 115 blocks (0.89) including a team-best 20 solo blocks…also contributed 51 digs and 10 assists…named to CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII team with a 4.00 GPA…recorded a career-high 14 kills in the Eagles’ GSAC-opening win over Vanguard (9/6/07)…that effort came after recording a career-best eight blocks in Biola’s five-game win over Westminster (9/1/07)...hit better than .500 in eight matches (with at least 10 attacks)…posted a .727 attack percentage twice (8 kills, no errors, 11 attacks), the first time in a loss at Fresno Pacific (9/25/07) and the second in a four-game win over Azusa Pacific (10/2/07).

2006: Saw action right from the beginning of her Biola career, starting 27 matches and playing in 31…recorded 145 kills (1.46/game) and 73 blocks (0.74/game), leading the team with 11 solo blocks…had a season-high 12 kills in a five-game match against Azusa Pacific (9/12/06), adding seven blocks…also had nine kills and seven blocks at Azusa Pacific (10/17/06) later in the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four year letterwinner while attending La Costa Canyon HS in Carlsbad… helped the Mavericks win the San Diego CIF Championship as a junior and senior…won the Maverick Award, a coaches’ award for spirit, determination and effort...her club team, Coast 18 KARL, placed eighth in 2005 and fifth in 2006 at the Junior Olympic Championships.

PERSONAL: Major is Mathematics…parents are James and Kelly Christoferson…has two sisters, Katy and Megan.
