LA MIRADA, Calif. —- It was a historic 3-0 week for Biola Men's Tennis, and the now 7-0 Eagles were rewarded for their efforts by taking home PacWest Team of the Week honors for the second time this season. It was a bit of deja vu as Alejandro Flores Monteverde earned Player of the Week, also for the second time this season.

The Eagles began the week with a 7-0 drubbing of Whittier, and thencontinued with a midweek epic against No. 12 Azusa Pacific, which turned into a 4-3 thriller in favor of Head Coach David Goodman's team. They closed the book on the week by traveling up to rival Westmont and beating the Warriors in 5-2 fashion.

It's been an incredible start to the year for BU, going undefeated and dropping only 11 games total to those seven opponents. 

Flores Monteverde did not compete in the Whittier match, but he played a key role in both the APU and Westmont wins. He was undefeated in singles and doubles, with straight-set wins in both his singles matches. He's now 5-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles this season.

The Eagles have most of this week off in a well-deserved break. They pick back up with a 10:30 a.m. match against Jessup on Friday and a 10 a.m. home match vs. NCAA Division III Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
