Career Night Makes It Three Straight

Chris Harris drops 30 as Biola roll past Hawai‘i Hilo in a Chase Gymnasium thriller

LA MIRADA --- The Biola men's basketball team have won three in a row, after narrowly defeating Hawaii Hilo in Chase Gymnasium. The Eagles won in a thriller, 67-65.

Chris Harris sparked Biola's offense with a career-high 30 points and added 12 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. Cameron Brown followed with 17 and seven while the rest of the starters combined for 20 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists.

"I mean, we were coming back from a rough losing streak. We wanted to bounce back and come in with the right mindset everyday and ultimately, make the playoffs," stated Harris. "We needed an offensive spark and I was able to be the guy who did that for us."

All five of the Eagles' starters scored in the first half. Harris led the charge with nine backed by eight from Charlie Gehler, seven from Brown, three from Tyus Parrish-Tillman and two from Facundo Aranda. Shooting only 31 percent from the floor, BU found themselves down nine into the half, 29-38.

Biola found their offensive stride out of the half. In the first five minutes, Harris and the Eagles went on a 16-6, capped by a thunderous dunk. The momentum followed through the remaining 15 minutes as Biola would never lose their lead. 10 points from both Brown and Harris sealed the game down the stretch. The Vulcans had a chance to tie at the buzzer but BU came out unscathed.

With the win, the Eagles move to 10-11 overall and 6-9 in conference. They will host Menlo College for their final game of their five game homestand.

"This win feels great. Come out with these close wins," continued Harris. "Every night we just want to keep building on this."
