The Biola women’s basketball team saw a strong road effort slip away late, falling 58–53 to Hawaii Pacific.

HONOLULU, Hawaii---The Biola women's basketball team saw a strong road effort slip away late, falling 58–53 to Hawaii Pacific on Tuesday evening in the Shark Tank.

Biola got off to a strong start, building a 24-17 lead in the first half behind efficient offense and disciplined defense. The Eagles held Hawaii Pacific to single-digit scoring and a shooting percentage of .161 in the first half while Biola scored 12 points in both quarters and .458 percent from the field.

The Eagles leaned on balanced offense in the opening half. Grace Moyers, Hanne Nybo, and Laney Grider were tied as BU's leading scorers with six points each. Camden Miller, Jaycee Goldsmith, and Aliyah Bantolina each added two to support the effort.

Hawaii Pacific, however, mounted a decisive fourth-quarter comeback. The Sharks outscored Biola 24–9 in the final period, using trips to the free-throw line and second-chance opportunities to flip the game.
