Stags Stifle Eagles

Biola men’s water polo hit the pool to kick off the weekend and fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 14-6.

CLAREMONT, Calif. --- Biola Men's Water Polo (2-3) hit the road Friday to face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (1-1), falling 14–6 at the Axelrood Aquatics Center. While the Eagles struggled to keep pace with the Stags' offense, several strong individual performances stood out.

Caden Digby powered Biola's scoring with a hat trick on three goals, including a man-up finish in the second quarter and another strike in the third to keep the Eagles within reach. Nick Murray and Caleb Hernandez each added first-half goals, with Hernandez converting on a penalty shot late in the opening frame.

Brandt McBride added a fourth-quarter goal, while Beau Gendron tallied two assists and a steal off the bench. In goal, Joshua Dachenhausen made 12 saves to help steady the defense under pressure.

Despite the loss, Biola forced eight steals and picked up two sprint wins. 

The Eagles will continue the fight on Friday night, facing Pacific at 6:40 pm at Axelrood Pool.
