LA MIRADA—It was a fight to the very finish for the Biola women's soccer team who tied Stanislaus State 2-2 at Al Barbour Field.

Briley Phelps and Taylin Laws teamed up to score the game-tying goal in the 88th minute. Laws intercepted a Warrior pass and found a waiting Phelps in the box who then knocked in the Eagles' goal. Phelps' goal was her third of the season and freshman Laws earned the first assist of her career.

Biola's first goal was scored in the 33rd minute by Peyton Nelson who was assisted by Phelps. Nelson's goal was her third of the season and Phelps earned her second assist of the year.

Stanislaus State scored their goals in the 51st and 75th minutes.

Autum Monty and Laura Brennan shared time in the goal for BU. Monty made two saves in the second half before she was replaced by Brennan in the 78th minute.

Offensively, the Eagles were making the Warriors work. Biola had seven shots on goal to Stanislaus State's two. Nelson led the offensive charge with four shots on goal.

Three Eagles played the full 90 minutes including Riley Brumfield, Marije Rechin, Phelps and Nelson.
