A Fight to the End

The Biola men’s tennis team lost a 4-3 battle to Hawaii Pacific at the Biola Tennis Center.

LA MIRADA---The Biola men's tennis team lost a 4-3 battle to Hawaii Pacific at the Biola Tennis Center.

The Eagles began with a disadvantage, losing the doubles point.

BU went on to win the first three singles matches. Thiago Canessa recorded Biola's first win, taking down his opponent 6-0, 6-2 on the fourth court. Mateo Rivas earned the next singles win on the fifth court where he defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-3. Jules Zanarelli recorded the Eagles' third singles win on the third court 6-1, 6-4.

Hawaii Pacific charged back with wins on the sixth and first courts which tied up the match 3-3. All eyes then fell on the second court where Patricio Larrea was dueling HPU's Adam Vasir. Larrea won his first set 7-5 but would eventually fall 3-6, 3-6.

Biola fell 4-6 overall while Hawaii Pacific improved 5-3. Next up for the Eagles' is Western New Mexico on Friday, March 14th at 11 a.m.
