Another Heartbreaker

Biola suffered another bad break on Friday, dropping game two against UHH, 2-1.

HILO, Hawaii --- Biola (8-7-1, 0-2 PacWest) and Hawaii Hilo (10-10, 3-3 PacWest) combined for three hits and three runs in game two of Friday's PacWest doubleheader. Despite only producing one hit, the Vulcans pulled out the win, defeating BU, 2-1.

Once again, errors hurt the Eagles as they did in game one on Friday. In the second and fifth frames, a walk touched home with two outs on the scoreboard with help from an error in the field. The two unearned runs were the only two given up in the game.

Blake Wentz was the starting pitcher for the Eagles and logged five innings on the mound. The righty mustered through another rain delay, giving up one hit with zero earned runs and three strikeouts.

Korey Shepard posted a scoreless sixth frame in relief, going 1-2-3.

The BU bats produced two hits and one run in game two. Bobby Brown scored with his own effort, launching a home run in the fourth inning. The long ball was his third of the season.

BU will look to get back on track on Saturday, taking on the Vulcans in another doubleheader beginning at 5:00 pm PT.
